About ACIF

The Australian Construction Industry Forum (ACIF) is focused on creating a competitive construction and property industry that is a leader in building Australia’s prosperity.

As well as facilitating communication between the different interests that make up the construction sector, ACIF provides governments and other agencies with a central and efficient industry liaison point.

ACIF harnesses the energies of its members to provide leadership and facilitate change within the industry, to increase productivity, efficiency, research and innovation.

ACIF is governed by a Board of Directors comprising senior practitioners and the chief executives of its member organisations. A Secretariat supports the Board and the working groups tasked with developing policies and productivity tools.

ACIFs flagship Construction Forecasting Council produces the most reliable forecasts of activity in residential and non-residential building, and engineering construction, twice yearly. The forecasts are released at breakfast seminars in June and November. The data underlying the forecasts, and a summary of the forecasts, are available on line and free at www.cfc.acif.com.au

Joining ACIF

Members are Australian building or construction industry associations with a national structure and focus, whose principal membership comprises individuals and/or private sector business enterprises in the residential, non-residential, engineering or investment property sectors.

Associate Members are industry associations that are eligible to be admitted as Members but do not seek voting rights.

Non-voting Special Members are other organisations interested in advancing the aims of ACIF.
