Australian Property Institute

The Australian Property Institute represents approximately 8,600 property professionals throughout Australia and overseas. API members include residential, commercial and plant and machinery valuers, property advisers, property analysts and fund managers, property lawyers, and property researchers and academics.

The Institute’s primary role is to set and maintain the highest standards of professional practice, education, ethics and professional conduct for it members and the broader property profession.


Australian Sustainable Built Environment Council (ASBEC)

The Australian Sustainable Built Environment Council (ASBEC) is the peak body of key organisations committed to a sustainable built environment in Australia.

ASBEC's membership consists of industry and professional associations, non-government organisations and government observers who are involved in the planning, design, delivery and operation of our built environment, and are concerned with the social and environmental impacts of this sector.

ASBEC provides a forum for diverse groups involved in the built environment to gather, find common ground and intelligently discuss contentious issues as well as advocate their own sustainability products, policies and initiatives.



The BIM-MEPAUS initiative has been launched with the aim of facilitating the implementation of Building Information Modeling and Integrated Project Delivery within the Australian Construction Building Services Sector.

The Civil Contractors Federation (CCF) is the representative body of civil engineering contractors in Australia providing assistance and expertise in contractor development and industry issues.


Constructing Excellence (UK)

Constructing Excellence is the United Kingdom's single organisation charged with driving the change agenda in construction. We exist to improve industry performance in order to produce a better built environment. We are a cross-sector, cross-supply chain, member led organisation operating for the good of industry and its stakeholders. 


Green Building Council of Australia

GBCA is a national, not-for-profit organisation that is committed to developing a sustainable property industry for Australia by encouraging the adoption of green building practices. It is uniquely supported by both industry and governments across the country.

The Green Building Council's mission is to develop a sustainable property industry for Australia and drive the adoption of green building practices through market-based solutions.

Its key objectives are to drive the transition of the Australian property industry towards sustainability by promoting green building programs, technologies, design practices and operations as well as the integration of green building initiatives into mainstream design, construction and operation of buildings.


Infrastructure Partnerships Australia

Infrastructure Partnerships Australia is the nation’s peak infrastructure body. Our mission is to advocate the best solutions to Australia’s infrastructure challenges through facilitating open dialogue and genuine, enduring partnerships between government and the private sector. It is through these perspectives that Australia can be best equipped with the facilities and services we need to secure enduring and strong economic growth and high living standards.

Our Membership draws together the nation’s most senior industry leaders from across the spectrum of the infrastructure sector, including constructors, operators, designers and financiers. Importantly, a significant proportion of our Membership is drawn from Government departments and agencies, ensuring a strong focus on delivering the best frameworks, projects and policies to meet key national objectives. 


Infrastructure Sustainability Council of Australia

ISCA's mission is to enhance the livability and productivity of our major cities and our regional communities through advancing sustainability in infrastructure planning, procurement, delivery and operation.

ISCA proposes to achieve its mission through:

  • Continuing to improve and expand the IS rating scheme in line with industry needs and lessons learnt from current experiences
  • Collaborating with government agencies regarding the “upstream” use of the IS rating scheme
  • Promoting and facilitating national training, education and knowledge sharing relating to infrastructure sustainability along the entire supply chain
  • Contributing, facilitating and promoting industry forums and research on key policy and advocacy issues relating to infrastructure sustainability challenges and opportunities

Standards Australia

Standards Australia is an independent, not-for-profit organisation, recognised by the Australian Government as the peak non-government Standards body in Australia. Standards Australia develops internationally aligned Australian Standards® that deliver Net Benefit to Australia and is the Australian member of ISO and IEC.
